Art Museum that shows history and culture about bags

If you visit World Bags and Luggage Museum, you can see a lot of bags in the world.

It is an industry museum that shows history and culture about bags. There are exhibition rooms in the 7th floor and a lounge at the 8th floor of ACE Co., Ltd.

It is overwhelming to see the display of bags for various purposes in Europe, America, Oceania, Africa and Asia. It is wonderful to find memorial bags including a sports bag of Mr. Shigeo Nagashima, a superstar of Japanese baseball, with his uniform number "90" of Yomiuri Giants on its surface. There are exhibition areas about history of bags and components of bags. It is interesting to see the history fo bags using nylon as a new material and the development of bags considering universal design on the basis of human engineering. From the lounge at the 8th floor, you can see Tokyo Skytree®.

It opened in 1975. It is a small private industrial museum at commercial area in Asakusa, Taito City, Tokyo. Its nearest station is Asakusa Station and so on.

It is estimated that it is about 1 hour in a regular pace, about 30 minutes in a hurried page, and 1.5 hours in a slow pace.

Opening Hour
This museum opens from 10:00 to 16:30 (last entry: 16:00).

Closed Day
This museum is closed every Sunday, national holidays and susbtitute holidays, and year-end and new year holiday. It also closes temporarily. In case that Saturday is either a national holiday or a substitute holiday, this museum opens on Saturday.
