Museum that shows history of Fukagawa

If you visit Fukagawa Edo Museum, you can see the replicated townscape of Fukagawa Sagacho in Edo period (1603-1867).

This townscape consists of fire tower, vegetable shops and row house during Tenpo era (1830-1844). You can go into some houses.

This is a history museum about Fukagawa area in Edo period. It holds project exhibitions. "Three Great Reformation in Edo and Sadanobu Matsudaira (1758-1829)" (from October 29, 2013 (Tuesday) to October 26, 2014 (Sunday)) was held as Project Exhibition.

It opened in 1986. It is a small public museum of Koto City at commercial area in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Koto City, Tokyo. Its nearest station is Kiyosumi-Shirakawa station.

This museum is close to Kiyosumi Gardens, Fukagawa Fudoson Temple, Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine and Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo within a walking distance.
