Home of Kabuki in Ginza

If you visit Kabukiza Theatre, you can see Kabuki performances on stage days.

It is a Kabuki-specific theatre. Kabuki performance is held every day during the stage period. Basically, the same performance continues for a month.

Kabukiza Theatre is a symbolic architecture of Japanese traditional culture. Kobikicho Plaza at the B2 floor has also a Japanese atmosphere. There is Kabukiza Gallery at the 5th floor.

It was originally established in 1889, and it recently became renewed in 2013. It is a middle-sized private theatre with 1,808 seats, and about 150 seats including standing room for about 60 people for a single act, at commercial area in Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo. Its nearest station is Higashi-Ginza station.

This theatre is designed by Mr. Kengo Kuma (1954-Present), along with Nezu Museum and Suntory Museum of Art.
