Museum that shows art works of contemporary art
If you visit Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, you can see MOT Collection.
This museum holds Project Exhibition and Regular Exhibition. It functions as a platform that a few exhibitions are held simultaneously.
Project Exhibition "Tokujin Yoshioka -Crystallize-" (from October 3, 2013 (Thursday) to January 19, 2014 (Sunday)) was an excellent exhibition that art works of Mr. Tokujin Yoshioka (1967-Present) were displayed. In particular, "Rainbow Church" was overwhelming. The light through stained grass of crystal prisms was beautiful. Also, "Swan Lake" was impressive. The music of Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) exercised influences over art works. Moreover, "Honey Pop" that was made by paper was unique.
MOT Collection consists of about 4,800 items.
Like Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Mr. Takayoshi Yanagisawa (1936-Present) designed this museum.
It opened in 1995. It is a large public museum of Tokyo Metropolis at Kiba Park in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, Koto City, Tokyo. Its nearest station is Kiyosumi-Shirakawa station and so on.
