If you visit Mitsui Memorial Museum, you can see art works in Mitsui Honkan Building.

It is an art museum of oriental art. It has about 4,000 art works including six National Treasures of Japan and 73 Important Cultural Properties of Japan. Tea utensils consist of about half of its collection. There is a replicated tea room called "Joan" in this museum.

Mitsui Honkan Building is selected as Important Cultural Property of Japan. It is interesting that Mitsui Family is historically associated with Nihonbashi.

"Raku Tea Bowls and Celebrating the New Year with Pine Tree in the Snow" (from December 4, 2013 (Wednesday) to January 25, 2014 (Saturday)) showed a lot of excellent Raku tea bowls. In particular, "Shunkan," the black Raku tea bowl made by Chojiro that is Important Cultural Property of Japan was impressive.

It opened in 2005. It is a middle-sized private art museum at commercial area in Nihonbashi, Chuo City, Tokyo. Its nearest station is Mitsukoshimae station.
