Art museum that shows world of photograph

If you visit Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, you can see photographic art works according to the theme of exhibitions.

It is an art museum of photography. It has more than 30,000 collection items.

A few exhibitions are held simultaneously. Exhibitions of photography are held at the 3rd floor, the 2nd floor and the B1 floor. Also, movies are shown at the hall of the 1st floor.

"Ueda Shoji and Jacques Henri Lartigue Play with Photography" (from November 23, 2013 (Saturday) to January 26, 2014 (Sunday)) showed black-and-white photographs with unique composition including "Little Fox" by Shoji Ueda (1913-2000).

It opened in 1995. It is a middle-sized public art museum of Tokyo Metropolis at Yebisu Garden Place in Ebisu, Meguro City, Tokyo. Its nearest station is Ebisu station.

This museum opens from 10:00 to 18:00 (last entry: 17:30). Also, opening Hour is extended from 10:00 to 20:00 (last entry: 19:30) on Thursday and Friday.

Closed Day
This museum if closed every Monday, and Year-end and new year holiday. In case that Monday is either a national holiday or a substitute holiday, it opens on Monday and closes on the following weekday.

Admissions Fee
It is different between exhibitions. It is free on New Year of January 2. Also, it is free for only collection exhibition on Tokyo Citizens Day of October 1.
