Historically, "Omiya Koen Soccer Stadium" was built in 1960 as the oldest soccer-specific stadium in Japan. Diego Maradona (1960-Present) played at this stadium in FIFA World Youth™ in 1979. Also, Franz Beckenbauer (1945-Present) played at this stadium in ZEROX Super Soccer in 1982. Japan National Soccer Team used to play at this stadium. Brazil National Team including Kaka (1982-Present) practiced for FIFA World Cup™ in 2002.

Omiya Ardija is a professional soccer team that belongs to J-League Division 2 in 2015 season. Its team color is orange. Originally, "Denden Saitama Soccer Team" was established in 1969. In 2015 season, head coach is Mr. Hiroki Shibuya (1966-Present), and star players include Mr. Akihiro Ienaga (1986-Present) and Mr. Ryuji Bando (1979-Present).

Omiya Ardija supporters create friendly atmosphere like a local community at this stadium, while Saitama Stadium 2002 has an enthusiastic atmosphere.

It opened in 2007. It is a small public stadium of Saitama City with a capacity of about 15,600 people at Omiya Park in Omiya-Ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Its nearest station is Omiyakoen station.
