Industrial museum that shows history of railway with displays of real train cars

If you visit The Railway Museum, you can see the world of railway.

It is an industrial museum that displays train cars of Shinkansen. It is overwhelming to see more than 30 train cars including Shinkansen at one place. It is a wonderful place to see the history of railway in japan from steam locomotives in early period to limited express trains in recent years.

Also, you can see the large diorama with about 25-meter wide and about 8-meter long. Moreover, it is possible to experience simulators to move train cars.

It opened in 2007 as the 20th anniversary of East Japan Railway Company, called JR East. It is a large private industrial museum at residential area in Omiya, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture.
